When the final curtain falls on the Grand Majestic Theater this fall, owners say a ‘new and exciting experience’ will open in Sevierville in the winter.
(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The Grand Majestic Theater in Pigeon Forge is set to close later this year, but on Monday the owners announced a new adventure in Sevierville.
The formal announcement will come August 1, but owners teased on Facebook ‘A new and exciting experience’ set to open winter of 2027.
“While the future does not currently have them opening doors to a new theatrical home, they are venturing into new territory,” The Grand Majestic posted on Facebook. “While the details are currently being held under wraps, social media campaigns began today with whispers of what is being planned.”
The Smokies LIVE reported months ago that the property was sold to a developer and a new attraction (yet to be announced) will be replacing the theater.
Popular shows produced by the Grand Majestic Theater include Soul of Motown, Grand American Opry, and The King Comes Home.
The Grand Majestic said to follow a new Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok- @dowtownsecretSC to see what the future holds.
