(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – When it’s the weekend, all the seafood is on the table at Pinchy’s Lobster Company in Sevierville, specifically the Kraken.
Seafood lovers can enjoy crab legs, shrimp, fresh oysters, lobster and that’s just the beginning when you dive into the wildest looking thing on the menu. Sliders and wings and oh yeah, the Michelada holding it all together.
“The Kraken is one of our signature items. It’s roughly about six pounds of food,” said Chris Haas with Pinchy’s in Sevierville. “It’s meant for a group. You bring it out and people ooh and ahh and that reaction happens everytime.”
The restaurant said when they opened, they were looking for a signature item with a photo op opportunity.
Haas said what else makes them unique is the products they source with an emphasis on fresh ingredients flying in the seafood several times a week.
“For example our oysters, we don’t source our oysters from anywhere south of the Hudson River,” he added.
Pinchy’s is open for lunch and through January they are running a lunch special with a smaller portion of some of the most popular items.
“One of the things that makes us unique is we do sushi and it’s rolled right here at the bar, so you can watch her do it,” Haas added. “On this local menu we have some sushi.”
Ilynn Stevens, Raw Bar Chef said, “we do a variety of things, so we have raw options, we have cooked options, we have fresh oysters off our raw bar, all our sushi is made with real crab meat.”
“You had the spicy shrimp. It comes with tempura fried shrimp, avocado, cream cheese and then it’s topped with spicy crab meat,” she added.
