PIGEON FORGE, Tenn (SmokiesLIVE) – While most people stroll through Dollywood at a leisurely pace, runners can race through the theme park for an all new experience.
Dollywood Race weekend is going to happen April 25-26 and for the first time ever, guests can experience the spirit of Dollywood while competing in scenic races through the Smoky Mountain destination.
Registration is open for the Dollywood race weekend with early registration encouraged. Race Bib Pickup takes place Friday, April 24, at Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort.
The race challenges include a half-marathon, a one-mile kids fun run, a 5K, 10K all included for the weekend. Events will take place both Saturday & Sunday.
Each race will be officially timed and will feature live music and on-course entertainment that only the theme park named #1 in the U.S. by Tripadvisor users can offer. All participants receive an inaugural event shirt, race bib, commemorative medal, and complimentary photo by FinisherPix. Additional Dollywood photo opportunities will be available for purchase at iconic locations throughout the route. Following the event, participants can spend the rest of the day enjoying the world-class attractions, entertainment, and fun of Dollywood
The event will take place during Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival which starts on April 18 and runs through June 27.
