(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville has announced a birthday party for Sevier County Native Dolly Parton.
The “Opry Goes Dolly” will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Dolly was born in Sevier County on January 19, 1946. The live tribute show starts at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville at 7 p.m. CTS.
Musical artists to celebrate the country legend’s 80th birthday are Lainey Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Vince Gill, and Rhonda Vincent. The Opry said more artists could be announced in the coming days.
In a video released by the Grand Ole Opry, Dolly said she wouldn’t be there in person, but thanked them for putting on the show.
“I just wanted to say how much it means to me that you’re all coming together again this year to celebrate my big ole birthday,” said Dolly Parton. “Some of my favorite memories happened right here on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.”
She concluded by saying “you have the best night ever.”
