(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The Island in Pigeon Forge has announced plans for a $1M upgrade to The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel.
The Island said the upgrades to the 200-foot observation wheel will keep it refreshed for years to come.
The new enhancement includes a new lighting package that will become more visible in direct sunlight and will bring a fresh glow to The Island both day and night.
“The Wheel has been the backdrop for countless family memories and perfect Smoky Mountain evenings for over a decade. This renovation is all about taking that iconic experience to the next level so it continues to be the absolute highlight of every Pigeon Forge vacation for years to come,” said Amanda Webb, Marketing Director for The Island in Pigeon Forge.
