Rain chances are back in the forecast for mid-week after another day close to 90.
(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Smokies LIVE Weather is tracking another hot day ahead for Tuesday and rain through the middle of the week.
Let’s start with the temperatures on Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies will be with us through the day. A few more clouds in the afternoon in the mountains. Temperatures from 86 to 90 across the area. It’s going to be a little cooler on the North Carolina side of the mountains.
Drink plenty of water and plan for sunscreen.
Looking ahead to Wednesday is when we’ll have the best chance for rain moving back into the forecast.
Scattered showers and storms move in after 1 p.m. in Tennessee and later for the North Carolina Smokies.
Rain chances on Wednesday are about a tenth of an inch. Through the extended forecast rain lasts through the Memorial Day weekend and could bring up to half an inch of rain.
