The companies opened their first location in Mrytle Beach, something that had been under the radar for years, but finally came to light.
“We’re trying to bring the mountains to the beach,” said Chris Sobota, General Manager of Ole Smoky Myrtle Beach.
Visitors to the new 40,000 square foot entertainment center can experience moonshine tours, live entertainment and dining.

Flights of moonshine and cold beer on tap is just the beginning of the journey as you learn about the rich history of moonshine and its roots in the hills of Tennessee.
“Take two great concepts put them in this great building and have a great experience for people when they come here,” Sobota added. “We wanted to elevate the food at this concept, and my background is in food, so it’s kind of beachy, kind of mountains, just fun food.”
Myrtle Beach Mayor, Mark Kruea, said businesses like this is what he wants to see returning to Myrtle Beach.
“This is fun, this is what I’m talking about when I say we need to bring the fun back to Myrtle Beach. Ole Smoky is a great addition to Broadway at the Beach,” said Kruea. “It’s a beautiful building, it overlooks the lake, you could not ask for a better-looking facility.”
