Residents are invited to a July 21 workshop to share ideas on growth, housing, transportation and future development.
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Residents, business owners and community stakeholders are invited to help shape the future of Pigeon Forge during a public visioning workshop later this month.
The open-house style meeting will be held Tuesday, July 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Room, located at 3221 Rena St.
City officials are seeking public input as they develop updates to Pigeon Forge’s Comprehensive Plan and Corridor Plan, which will help guide growth and development over the next 25 years.
Unlike a traditional public meeting, there will be no formal presentation. Instead, attendees may drop in at any time during the event to participate in interactive activities and share their ideas.
Feedback will be gathered on several topics, including:
- The community’s overall vision for Pigeon Forge
- Strategic priorities for the Comprehensive Plan and Corridor Plan
- Future land use
- Housing
- Mobility and transportation
Officials say comments collected during the workshop will be used to help develop draft recommendations for both planning documents.
The city encourages anyone with an interest in Pigeon Forge’s future to attend and provide input as the planning process moves forward.
