(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The warm weather will bring spring flowers, and the Smoky Mountains National Park reminds visitors to limit groups hiking to see wildflowers in the Townsend area.
The National Park Service said visitors to Whiteoak Sink will be limited to eat people or fewer from April 1 through May 3, 2026. The park said this will help protect the sensitive area.
There are several rare plant species in the area and parking is limited, so you should plan ahead to have an alternate destination to see wildflowers in other parts of the park.
