(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES LIVE – Communities in the Smoky Mountains rain in 2026 with several festivities including Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

In Gatlinburg, thousands gathered for the 38th Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration and Ball Drop. The beloved tradition for thousands who gather under the Space Needle. This year was marked by the This free, family-friendly event delivered an unforgettable night filled with live musical entertainment, an illuminating drone show, a spectacular fireworks finale and the debut of the all-new 15-foot Mega LED Ball—the biggest and brightest New Year’s Eve ball in the world.

In Pigeon Forge, New Year’s Eve at The Island one of the biggest holiday events for the Smokies. Thousands gathered under the big wheel to ring in the New Year. Stephen Goff Band brought the music alive at 8:30 p.m. with headliner, rising country sweetheart Emily Ann Roberts at 10:25 who performed until the midnight firework show!.

The 38th Annual Gatlinburg New Year’s Eve Celebration and Ball Drop was free and open
to the public. The fireworks show at The Island in Pigeon Forge was also free.
