(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Sevier County leaders have been working to find a developer to redevelop the former Smokies Stadium site.
Leaders say they are narrowing down plans with The Outlet Resource Group (TORG) as they explore redevelopment opportunities for the former Smokies Stadium property located at 3540 Line Drive in Sevierville.
They’ve released concept renderings from TORG that are currently under consideration. This includes a mixed-use development that could feature an amphitheater, hotel accommodations, retail and dining options, and workforce housing. The project would build on the property’s long history as a community gathering place while supporting continued economic activity in the area.

“Since the relocation of the Tennessee Smokies team in 2025, we have been working with Sevier County Government to redevelop the stadium property,” said Sevierville City Administrator Dustin Smith. “The stadium site has tremendous potential and a myriad of possible uses, including the concept of renovation of the stadium itself, that will continue to be a benefit to our community.”
“We are excited about the opportunity to continue working with the City of Sevierville and our development partners as we look at the future of this property,” said Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters. “The Smokies Stadium site has been an important part of our community for many years, and we look forward to exploring opportunities that will allow the property to continue serving residents and visitors.”

I thought it belonged to Cherokee Indian.
The land behind the stadium was purchased by the EBCI. The stadium still is property of the city and county.
