(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – With a big smile on her face, Dolly Parton returned to Dollywood on Friday to officially open the theme park for the 41st season.
“Hello! Hoe you doing here at Dollywood?” Parton said as she took to the stage inside the celebrity theater.
“What do you think about our new NightFlight?” she said referring to the new attraction set to open at Dollywood in 2026.
“I’ve been missing you,” she said as she took a seat on the stage to talk about the year ahead for the theme park.

The park opens with the I Will Always Love You Festival bringing back some fan favorites from food to shows.
Favorite shows include “Sing-a-long with Dolly,” and “From the Heart – The Life & Music of Dolly Parton,” which celebrates her story and career.
Guests to the I Will Always Love You Festival can savor the flavorful BBQ Chicken Melt, Picadilly Lemonade and many more with a tasting pass. Passes can be purchased online or at culinary locations throughout the park.
“Being here to kick off our 41st season is so special,” said Dolly. “Can you believe we’re entering our fifth decade. I especially love being here for the I Will Always Love You Festival with all the great music and two new shows that families are just going to love.”
