Milling and paving work on Lyons View Pike will leave delays for the next week.
(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Road construction will take place starting Tuesday that will impact people traveling on Lyons View Pike in Knoxville.
The city issued a traffic advisory asking drivers to watch for flaggers and equipment during the milling and paving work.
STATEMENT FROM THE CITY OF KNOXVILLE
Starting on the morning of Tuesday, May 12, crews will begin milling Lyons View Pike from Northshore Drive to Kingston Pike. Work will take place outside rush hours, so watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Depending on weather, milling should take a week followed by a week of paving. Use caution in this area as crew members work to resurface this major transportation corridor.
