Free event Saturday features vendors, family activities, a Carson Beyer concert and fireworks over Fort Loudoun Lake.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE) — Knox County is inviting residents and visitors to continue celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a free daylong festival Saturday at The Cove at Concord Park.
The celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at The Cove at Concord Park, 11808 S. Northshore Drive in Knoxville. Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs is encouraging the community to attend the event, which will conclude with a fireworks display over Fort Loudoun Lake.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can explore an interactive community village featuring local artisans, historical exhibits, community organizations and family-friendly activities. Food trucks will be on-site throughout the day, and Visit Knoxville will offer commemorative event water bottles for purchase. Free water refills will be available at the First Utility District Hydration Station.
The evening celebration begins at 7 p.m. with a special edition of the Concert on the Cove featuring country artist Carson Beyer. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy live music along the lakeshore.
The celebration will conclude with a fireworks show launched over Fort Loudoun Lake beginning at the end of the concert.
The event is free and open to the public.
