More than 100 crafters expected as thousands gather for free two-day mountain festival.
MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (SMOKIES.LIVE) — A longtime mountain tradition returns this weekend as the Maggie Valley Arts & Crafts Festival celebrates its 33rd year, bringing more than 100 crafters and thousands of visitors together for a celebration of handmade creations.
Artists from across the Southeast will gather in Maggie Valley to showcase and sell their handmade arts and crafts during the two-day event. Organizers expect more than 10,000 people to attend throughout the weekend.
The festival has built a strong following over more than three decades, drawing visitors who return each year to browse unique artwork, handcrafted goods and one-of-a-kind items from regional artists.

Along with shopping opportunities, guests can enjoy a variety of festival foods and family-friendly activities. Admission and parking are free.
The Maggie Valley Arts & Crafts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers say the event continues to be a way to support local and regional artists while giving visitors a chance to experience the creativity and culture of the mountains.
