A newly launched Instagram account hints that live country music could soon have a new home in the heart of downtown Knoxville.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A new social media account is generating buzz about what could become Knoxville’s next live music destination.
An Instagram account operating under the name Country Road Knox recently posted a teaser announcing a “Honky Tonk Music Venue coming to the Old City in Knoxville. 2026,” adding that additional social media channels are “coming soon.”
Few details have been released about the project, including an exact location, opening date or who is behind the venture. However, the announcement has already sparked excitement among country music fans and those who frequent Knoxville’s entertainment district.
Old City in Knoxville has become one of East Tennessee’s destinations for live music, dining and nightlife, and a dedicated honky tonk venue would add another entertainment option for both locals and visitors.
