KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE) — The Tennessee Department of Transportation is advising motorists of emergency lane closures on Interstate 40 in West Knoxville beginning tonight.
According to TDOT, the right two lanes of I-40 East at the West Hills interchange (Mile Marker 380) will close at 8 p.m. for emergency bridge deck repairs.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce their speed, and use caution as crews work to complete the repairs.
TDOT has not announced when the lanes are expected to reopen. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
